Minnesota Virtual School for Success Seniors

Angelica

Angelica Marie Schneider, daughter of Tressie and Joshua Schneider, successfully completed all graduation requirements in December 2018, after attending MNVSS for 1 year. She has 3 younger sisters and enjoys singing, writing, and horseback riding. During her educational career, Angelica has participated in acapella groups, solo ensemble competitions, speech, and volleyball. Angelica plans to attend Anoka Technical and Community College, majoring in Education or Health Care. Her advice to underclassmen: "Don't fall behind. It's easy to fall behind but harder than you think to catch up. And don't be afraid to ask for help."

Special Thank You from Angelica: "My mom inspires me to want to be the best version of myself and live life to the fullest. My mom is everything but she is also my rock. Thank you for everything you do for me mom. I love you. ... I'd like to thank all staff at MNVSS, if it weren't for all of you I would not be here today. Thank you for helping me graduate and helping me stay on track and making school not so stressful and actually enjoyable."

Samantha

Samantha Marie Kahlow, daughter of Wendy and Dale Kahlow, has been attending MNVSS for 1 year. She has 3 siblings and enjoys hunting and fishing. During her educational career, Samantha also participated in softball. Samantha is currently undecided regarding her future plans, and her advice to underclassmen is "Finish your work, don't skip and procrastinate; it's not worth it."

Cody

Cody David DeJaeghere, son of Mark and Stephanie DeJaeghere, brother to Luke and Jessie DeJaeghere, has been attending MNVSS for 2 years. He enjoys farming, working on old tractors, fishing, and hunting. During his educational career, Cody has participated in 4-H, church activities, and trapshooting, and successfully completed 5 PSEO college courses. Cody is already farming, but plans to attend MN West Community and Technical College for Diesel Mechanics and Welding after graduation. His advice to underclassmen: "If you are willing to work hard and jump in when you see an opportunity, you will go far."

Madison

Madison Ellen Tabor has been attending MNVSS for the past 2 years. She has a sister and a niece and enjoys photography, doing makeup, and playing video games. After high school, Madison plans to work for around 2 years to save up money for college to major in Cosmetology. Her advice to underclassmen: "Stay motivated and do your work!"

Special Thank You from Madison: "My niece inspires me the most. She is so precious and innocent and I want to show her no matter what comes your way you can overcome and work around everything. ... "This program has been very patient and caring with me and I appreciate it more than you could ever know!"
